About Stephen
For over 10 years, Stephen has managed over £3 million of job board budgets for care providers.
He’s also saved care companies over £1.2 million in agency fees as well as helped care providers SAVE over £2 million in ongoing advertisement fees.
Having started his career as a Care Assistant, Stephen understands first-hand that exceptional care begins with exceptional people. After spending more than 10 years working in HR, recruitment, and retention within the care sector, he has dedicated his career to helping care providers build strong, values-driven teams that deliver outstanding care.
Stephen works with care providers across the UK and Ireland, combining industry experience with data-driven recruitment strategies to help organisations attract, recruit, and retain the right people. His approach is simple: when care providers have the right people in the right roles, residents, service users, and families all benefit.
Throughout his career, Stephen has been proud to work on projects alongside Skills for Care and Care England, supporting initiatives that strengthen recruitment across the sector.
His long-term ambition is to transform how the care industry recruits by championing values-based recruitment and raising the profile of careers in care. He believes caring is one of life's most important skills and hopes to see its principles introduced into schools, inspiring future generations to view care as a rewarding and respected career.
Stephen is also the Founder and Managing Director of Care Consultancy, The Care Social Network, who specialise in care recruitment process, training and Outsourced Recruitment.
